It is with great excitement that I welcome all our players, coaches, parents, managers and officials to Shellharbour City Basketball Club. 

The Shellharbour Bulls were envisioned in September 2023, when a group of passionate parents met to discuss starting a basketball association in Shellharbour. By November 2023, while we hadn't yet fully realized our dream, we had forged an exciting partnership with the Kiama Junior Basketball Association.

This collaboration opened the door for our Shellharbour kids to join Kiama’s players and compete together in the Barrengarry Conference, marking an incredible step forward for our community's young basketballers. We proudly competed as Kiama Yellow. By the end of the representative season, our Kiama Yellow teams had reached the finals in every division, with our U14 boys and U18 boys clinching grand final victories in first division.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated board members were working tirelessly to realise our dream of becoming an association. On 16th February 2024, that dream became a reality as Shellharbour City Basketball Club was officially welcomed into the Basketball NSW family.

The inception of our basketball club marks the beginning of a new chapter in our community's sporting landscape. With a shared passion for basketball as our driving force, we have come together to create a club where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can come together to celebrate the game of basketball.

While our club may be in its infancy, our aspirations are grand. We aim to not only grow the love for basketball within our community but also to instill values of teamwork, discipline, respect and perseverance in our players both on and off the court. Through dedicated coaching, comprehensive training programs, and a supportive environment, we are committed to nurturing the talents of our players and empowering them to reach their full potential on and off the court.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our founding members, volunteers, and sponsors. Your belief in our vision and your willingness to contribute your time, resources, and expertise are truly invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for your commitment to our club's success.

As we embark on this exciting journey together, I am confident that our basketball club will serve as a beacon of excellence within our community and beyond. With your continued support and dedication, I have no doubt that we will achieve great things and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
